Harley-Davidson Museum

Located on a 20-acre campus in downtown Milwaukee, the Harley-Davidson Museum brings a taste of rebellion and classic American culture to both the “wild” and “mild” visitors. This museum is the only Harley-Davidson Museum in the world, and whether you’re a devoted biker or just interested in learning more about an American institution, you’ll find plenty to explore.

At the museum, you’ll see more than 450 motorcycles and artifacts, dating back to the oldest known Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Serial Number One. Learn stories of extraordinary products, people, history, and Harley-Davidson culture. The museum also offers exclusive ticketed programs and tours, including the Steel Toe Tour, a two-part tour with a shuttle trip to Harley-Davidson’s Pilgrim Road Powertrain Operations facility, and the Behind-the-Scenes Tour into the private Harley-Davidson Archives.

Visitors of all ages will love the exciting and interactive exhibits at the museum. Celebrate custom culture in a gallery devoted to the most unique bikes out there, and see everything needed to create a classic Harley-Davidson Knucklehead in the Engine Room. Step inside the Experience Gallery and hop on board one of the bikes waiting to be experienced – this is the perfect opportunity for a photo! Younger visitors can try on a pint-size leather jacket and rev the engine on a bike that’s just their size in the Imagination Station. Or, stop at the Build-A-Bike interactive display to get creative and design their dream bike.

You don’t have to hit the open road again to find lunch – Motor Bar and Restaurant serves up American classics on-site. Museum admission is not required to dine at Motor, so even if you don’t have time for the whole museum, you can still stop by to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy burgers, barbeque, and more.
