This free festival at Forest Home Cemetery & Arboretum is the perfect family-friendly event to celebrate the traditions of Dia de los Muertos. Kick off the morning with one of the most unique runs in the city. The 5K run and Walk the route winds you through some of the nearly 200-acre cemetery’s park-like setting lined with notable names, makers of Milwaukee and beer barons. Then, the celebration continues with food trucks, local vendors, arts and crafts and traditional music and dance!

October 18 - November 17
 

Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with Latino Arts Inc. from October 18 through November 17 with the Day of the Dead Ofrendas exhibit! This exhibit celebrates the holiday's traditions such as Pan de Muertos (bread in the shapes of skulls and figures), candles, incense and yellow marigolds -- known as cempasúchil. The exhibit features installations from The Mexican Consulate, the University School of Milwaukee and other local artists!

For over a decade, Rocio Mendoza, Roberto Carlos and Jesus Martinez have serenaded audiences. Join Latino Arts, Inc. on November 3 as the group known as Tres Souls performs revitalized sounds and songs of the 1940s-1960s, stylized during the Golden Era of Mexican cinema. Celebrating the importance of heritage through music, Tres Souls embrace their roots while reaching uncharted territory.

Visit the Mitchell Park Domes for a celebration of traditional Latin American Culture featuring a Mariachi band, dancers, local artists, crafts, ofrendas and food vendors. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Domes mission. Please be aware that you can only get tickets in advance! Tickets will not be available at the door.

The 12th annual Latino Family Expo celebrates Latino culture and traditions with exhibits, entertainment, workshops and more. This free, family-friendly event features a wide selection of local businesses and a mix of Dia de Los Muertos and Halloween festivities! Children should dress in costumes to trick-or-treat from booth to booth!
